Cookies and tracking

Cookies and website tracking

Technologies and purposes

Cookies are small files stored in a browser. Similar technologies can store information locally, recognize a browser or report a visit to another service. This policy covers scentric.ae; P02 explains the associated handling of personal information.

Necessary technologies support the service you request, such as maintaining a basket, completing checkout, recording a privacy choice and protecting the website. An advertising or optional measurement function is not labelled necessary merely because it benefits Scentric®.

Optional analytics may measure website use and performance. Optional advertising may measure campaigns, recognize a visit or support relevant promotions. These functions remain off unless you give the valid choice required for that purpose. We do not treat scrolling, continuing to browse, purchasing or requesting support as that choice.

Cookies, pixels, tags, scripts, local storage and server-side events may be relevant to website tracking. An installed plugin alone is not a complete disclosure of its behaviour.

Accept reject or choose categories

Use Cookie preferences to accept optional activity, reject optional activity or manage categories. The choices are presented equally clearly. Optional categories are not preselected and do not operate before the required choice. Necessary shopping and support functions remain available if you reject optional tracking.

Use Cookie preferences to change or withdraw a choice later. Withdrawal stops future optional activity covered by that choice. It does not by itself erase information already processed lawfully; P02 explains separate data-rights requests. We will explain any additional browser or provider step needed to clear existing storage.

You can also block or delete browser cookies. This may clear a basket or settings, but browser controls do not govern every tracking method. Contact privacy@scentric.ae with questions about a particular technology.

Catalogue and publishing integrations

Product listings, search visibility and publishing can involve integrations that are different from visitor tracking. Retaining such a connection does not give its provider unrestricted customer information or permission to run optional tracking. We limit each connection's information and access to its assessed purpose and apply the relevant privacy requirements independently.

A cookie choice is not automatically an email-marketing subscription, and a marketing subscription is not blanket agreement to every tracking purpose. P09 explains the separate promotional opt-in.

Duration and changes

Session technologies end with a session. We review a new provider, purpose or material configuration before use. Updating a notice alone does not authorize a new purpose that requires a fresh choice.
