Use the product for its stated purpose

Read the label and supplied instructions before first use and keep them available. Scentric® fragrance liquids are intended only for the use stated on the specific product. Do not ingest them, apply them to skin, add them to food or beverages, or use them in an incompatible device. Do not mix products or dilute a liquid unless the specific instructions permit it.

The product label, manufacturer instructions and applicable safety information provide the product-specific directions. This website policy is a general guide and must not contradict those instructions. If information appears inconsistent, stop use and ask us to clarify before continuing.

People and indoor spaces

Use a suitable setting for the room, occupancy and ventilation, following the model instructions. A stronger setting is not necessarily better. Avoid directing output at a person's face or placing the device where a spill or contact is likely. Do not use fragrance to conceal a ventilation problem or a hazardous condition.

People may react differently to a fragrance. If someone experiences irritation or discomfort, stop use, move away from exposure and seek appropriate medical advice if symptoms persist or are significant. A fragrance product is not a treatment for a medical condition. We do not claim that a product is suitable for every person, pet or environment without product-specific evidence.

Keep liquids, containers, accessories and devices out of the reach of children and pets. For homes or premises with animals, sensitive occupants or specialist ventilation requirements, seek appropriate advice on the specific product and setting before use. Do not interpret the word “natural” as proof of safety.

Storage and handling

Keep the product in its original, labelled container with the closure secure. Store it upright under the temperature, light and other conditions stated on the label. Do not decant it into a drinks bottle or unlabelled container. Keep it away from food and items with which it could be confused.

Follow all product-specific precautions concerning heat, ignition, ventilation, gloves, surface protection and disposal. Not every fragrance liquid has the same hazard classification; the relevant label and safety information determine the precautions. Wipe external residue only by the safe method specified for that product and surface.

Electrical and installation safety

Use the correct power supply and approved accessories. Keep electrical components dry. Do not use damaged plugs, cables or adapters, overload an outlet, modify the device or bypass protective features. Switch off and disconnect power before a task where the instructions require it, and only when safe to do so.

Do not connect a device to air-conditioning, ventilation, building controls or a commercial installation unless that model and installation method are approved and the work is performed by an appropriately competent person. Buying a device does not include installation or authorize changes to building systems.

Spills or accidental exposure

Avoid touching a leaking liquid or broken device without the precautions required by its label. Keep others away, avoid ignition sources where relevant, and ventilate if it is safe and consistent with the product instructions. Do not pour unused or spilled product into drains unless the applicable instructions and disposal rules permit it.

For ingestion, eye contact, breathing difficulty, a burn or another significant exposure, follow the product label and obtain urgent professional medical or emergency advice as appropriate. Keep the container or label available to identify the product. Do not induce vomiting or attempt an improvised treatment unless a qualified professional instructs you. A support email is not an emergency medical service.

Reporting a safety concern

Stop using a product that may be unsafe and contact support@scentric.ae with the product name, batch or device identifier, purchase reference and a description of what happened. Share photographs only if they can be taken safely. We may ask for limited additional information needed to assess the concern, using a suitable channel for any sensitive information.

We will assess the report and take the actions required by applicable law, including investigation, corrective action and customer or authority communication where required. If a recall or safety notice is issued, follow its instructions. Do not dispose of evidence or ship a suspect product unless advised how to do so safely.
